What are black Americans to Africans?

Personally, I don't mind the "exodus" of black Americans to Africa. I feel all people have the right to go where they want to be most. Growing up, I'd think black Americans were a lot better than us here in South Africa & in time grew disillusioned & realised they were just as miseducated & persecuted as us black people in South Africa.  In truth, only a handful of people from South Africa's indigenous people were taken in the Transatlantic Slave Trade. The few that were taken were maybe taken to the Netherlands, maybe Suriname & maybe England. I doubt that there were any slaves from southern Africa taken to the New World excepting a few Tsonga / Chopi taken to Brazil, Uruguay & greater South America & maybe the Caribbean. The overwhelming majority of slaves from the Americas descend from people on the west African coast (i. e. Kingdom of Congo, Cameroon, Angola, Nigeria, Ghana, Benin etc.). Those that went to South America were mostly from

What really is best for South Africa?

Bloggers have no real relevance except supply content for curious people who have time to waste on the internet so I don't expect my opinion to be taken seriously. But if we could create the best possible South Africa, with all the knowledge & research available, how would such a country look like? Is the existence of South Africa itself really the best thing for it's people? Considering the history of South Africa, if we do the calculations, what is it's future? Will the future of South Africa remain leftist & liberal or will we slowly start wising over to the right (conservativism)? Who will be South African then? And who will be excluded from being South African if this name & "identity" still exists? Countries change, especially ones as unstable as South Africa. Whether change will be good for the average South African or leave him & his kind out in the cold depends on what happens today. What is the best for South Africa?    President Mthokozi

Africa in Space: Inhabiting Mars

I often watch space videos on YouTube & wonder how Africa could unite to inhabit Mars. It costs a lot of money & research so I doubt it would happen any time soon but if it were to happen, I have an idea of how it could be done. We have Nigerian-based Space in Africa & another African Space Research Agency based in Addis Ababa so we won't be starting from nothing. Africa is not new to extraterrestrial studies. The Dogon people are said to have discovered the stars Sirius A & Sirius B long before the Western world. Some African mythologies have always claimed that their nation originated from the skies & so it's not strange to me that Africa would one day explore space. So let me play Edward Makuka Nkoloso & plan Africa's mission to Mars.  • THE CREW: Afronauts would be a  1) 45 year old Nigerian man  2) 40 year old Nigerian man  3) 35 year old Nigerian woman  4) 30 year old Botswanan lady  5) 40 year old Kenyan man  6) 35 year old Tanzanian man  7)

Significance of Afrikaans in South Africa.

From what is known, Afrikaans is said to be a sister dialect to 17th century Dutch. The people who formed the original Zuid-Afrikaansche Republiek (South African Republic which became Transvaal) were still Dutch speakers & only became Afrikaans speakers later. I don't know when Cape Dutch became Afrikaans but there seems to be an indigenous influence. I'm guessing the Cochokhoe, who lived in Cape Town pidginized the Dutch language they were speaking & gave us Afrikaans.  Afrikaans is still seen as a language of the oppressor & is mostly spoken in the western half of South Africa. But what does this language mean to us today? Should it still be taught in schools seeing as to how developed it is? Or should it be forgotten as the language of a government that followed Nazi ideologies?  It's only spoken in two countries, Namibia & South Africa. Many Afrikaans speakers speak English so there's little need in learning the language today. Maybe Afrikaans (&

Diversity...

A lot of times, people in the developed world claim diversity is causing an increase in crime in their nation-state. I have to wonder if this is even partly true seeing the tribalist crimes being committed daily in Africa, a continent with very few nation-states. Seeing that lands with one race/ethnicity have very low crime rates in the stats, there's even more to back the argument that diversity increases crime. But I'd still insist that it's a lack of national unity or so-called "social cohesion" more than just the concept of "foreigners have moved into the neighbourhood". Lands with no common identity tend to suffer from crime caused by "diversity" more frequently because there's no moral identity , people have different concepts of what is wrong & right.  Of the eight countries with the lowest crime rates in the world, five can be considered ethnostates. The solution:  Quiet often we want to forcefully integrate minorit
