A lot of my former peers are in Gauteng, Cape Town & even various places overseas. This could've been me if I was more responsive to peer pressure. I truly believe one of the main reasons KZN is not on par with, at least, the Western Cape is because of the exodus of it's sportsmen, academics & intellectuals. There's almost a hidden agenda to get talent out of KZN. The equation is simple, the more educated people there are in a place, the more cultural & economic development they make. Now, when all the academics & learned people of the province are running off to other provinces, it becomes more difficult to compete economically. Uneducated people can literally have all their resources stripped away from them because they don't have the know-how to use them optimally. Uneducated people would rush off to get foreign resources even if they had the capability to obtain the same resources in their country, that is "A failure to use their minds" as General Major Paul Kagame once said.
When you dig your heels in & insist that home is home, they show propaganda of how much better people who leave KZN live when that is often far from the truth. Many people in Gauteng live in squalor & abject poverty. They even rush to make inter-ethnic marriages in an attempt to legitimize this forced migration. They'll claim it's "nation building" or slant to the side of history that promotes the fact that forced migrations changed societies. Indeed, forced migrations did change some societies but there's nothing to migrate to or from in KZN. KZN is not as big an economy as Gauteng or Western Cape but it's hardly a warzone or suffering from any drought. Our crops are still growing & our livestock is still alive. There's hardly any need to leave this province unless there's a giant opportunity waiting for you elsewhere in an urbanised area & even then, you could go to Umgungundlovu, eThekwini, Umhlathuze or even Umzimkhulwana (Port Shepstone). But they still insist on forcing people (mainly Zulu people) to believe that they should leave KZN for Gauteng. They tried to make me want to go to the Eastern Cape for literally no reason. There's no job or giant economic opportunity I have ever been offered in the Eastern Cape, neither do I speak the language. It just goes to show the garbage dump extents these rainbows will go to force a second Babylon or Sodom & Gomorrah.
The attempt by outsiders to force Zulu people to assimilate in multicultural societies in other provinces is a deliberate attempt to end any thoughts of Zulu sovereignty & they have near succeeded. I'd assume these outsiders would be Xhosas, Sothos & South Africa's rich white elites who benefit from a jumbled up South Africa & hate the idea of any autonomy the Zulu ethnic group might have over their land. They've even attempted to make people who have sovereign Zulu thoughts less Zulu & by trying to learn more on Zulu history to further divide the people of KZN with independent mentalities. The only thing they've succeeded in by doing this is growing Zulu identity & make it even more ubiquitous in South Africa.
