In an age where monarchy is seen as an archaic & outdated form of government, I'm glad to have found on the internet, advocates for the original form of national governance that all politics, probably, stems from. Of course, under absolute monarchy we find a tyrant could "rule with an iron fist" which is why I prefer a constitutional monarchy, where the monarch could be subject to the laws of the land & people have some democratic input in electing members of parliament & when parliament sees fit - to delegate some choices on the land's future to the masses.
I believe a monarch should be present in every major national event in a land from sport events, entertainment & cultural events to his main role among the lawmakers in parliament & leader of the land's military. A monarch is a symbol of the land &, I think, does offer more long-term consistency in the land's political scene than the brief & fleeting role of a president.
